Scope of Work

What Vision Administrative Office does and does not do

Vision Administrative Office is an administrative agent office that prepares, translates and submits on your behalf documents related to foreign nationals' stay in Korea, such as the F-6 marriage visa, and provides consultation. An administrative agent's scope of work is defined in Article 2 of the Administrative Agents Act.

Work we handle

  • Preparing and submitting on your behalf documents for the F-6-1 Spouse of Korean National visa, change of status and extension of stay
  • Preparing application documents for F-6-2 Child Rearing and F-6-3 Humanitarian Grounds stay
  • Preparing documents for a change to marriage-migrant permanent residency (F-5-2)
  • Help preparing the invitation letter for a foreign spouse, the marriage background statement and statements of facts
  • Translating documents submitted to government agencies
  • Submission to the immigration office on your behalf and updates on progress
  • Consultation on requirements, documents and procedures

Work we do not handle

  • Litigation and criminal defense

We do not handle litigation or court representation, such as divorce suits, criminal cases and administrative litigation (outside the scope of an administrative agent).

  • Representation in administrative appeals

Article 2 of the Administrative Agents Act does not include representation in administrative appeals. For administrative appeals, we only help prepare and submit the appeal petition.

  • Labor and tax representation

Representation in reports and applications on labor matters is the work of a certified public labor consultant (Certified Public Labor Consultants Act, Article 2), and representation in tax filings is the work of a certified tax accountant (Certified Tax Accountant Act, Article 2).

  • Marriage brokerage

International marriage brokerage is the work of registered international marriage brokers (Act on the Management of Marriage Brokerage Business, Article 4), and Vision Administrative Office does not broker marriages.

  • Promising a permission result

Whether a visa or stay permission is granted is decided by the embassy or consulate and the immigration office. An administrative agent cannot promise a result.

What to check when choosing an office (based on actual work)

  • Each page states the work we handle and the work we do not handle on the same basis.
  • After the consultation a responsible administrative agent is assigned and handles the case from start to finish.
  • We separate the languages the website is available in (7) from the consultation languages (Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese).

How a case is handled

At the consultation we first confirm the marriage, the sponsor's requirements and the documents already prepared, then fix the order for supplementing what is missing before preparing, translating and filing. The consulate or immigration office decides whether to grant the visa.
